The Adventure Begins!!!

Postby martyb1 on Sun Dec 28, 2008 1:49 pm

Well as I am typing this, our brewmiester SP should be getting on an airplane in Juneau. He flies into Seattle today and tomorrow morning hops on a plane to Calgary. From there he will drive out here to pick up his new bass.
The next few days are going to be a blast.Sp is a real lover of wild meat so on the 30th we are having a little dinner party which will include deer steak(our own secret recipe :) )moose, elk and maybe some seafood that he is bringing along.
We will try to work in a practice so SP can wow the crowd with his bass playing at my New Years Eve gig, then a big New years day dinner at my moms house.
There should be some good times as SP has told me he has not played on stage for some 30 years. He also informed me that he is packing every piece of clothing he owns because he has never seen -30 :wow:
It has actually warmed up here but they are calling for -25 here on New Years Eve
All in all it is going to be a great few days.
Better go stock up the fridge
The other day I broke 70. That's a lot of clubs!

SP digs the 4 string?! Or does he have a love affair with the low B like me?

I just hack around and play once a week, but it's cool to hear about other guys who dig the low end!

What's he pickin' up, and what's he pluggin' into?

We will have to see

That's fackin sweet. If, for some reason, SP loses his mind and doesn't want it, I'm sure it wouldn't take much to make it an LP edition.

At first I was not sure if he was bringing a musical instrument or a fish! ImageImageImage

Well Sp arrived actually ahead of schedule.Great to see him.Was a bit worried about his drive from Calgary because it was snowing pretty good here yesterday, but there were no problems.
We had a great dinner at my moms house and then we went out and worked on the bass for a couple hours.
Today it's off to enjoy a dinner of deer steak, moose and elk and maybe I will take some seafood that SP brought
